The venue

The island sits in the Adriatic off the Croatian coast near Šibenik and the Kornati archipelago, and runs as a closed community for the event, with around 250 air-conditioned accommodation units for about 600 guests. Luxury Bell Tents are the entry level and use shared bathrooms. Forest Lodges sit among the trees in the middle of the island with a private bathroom, a balcony and air conditioning. Sun Lodge Suites are closer to the main pool and buffet restaurant, with a private bathroom and a deck, though night party areas are further inland so expect some walking. There is a medical centre on the island around the clock.

  1. Book the right accommodation for your comfort level. Bell tents are the cheapest way in, but shared bathrooms and summer heat are a real consideration. Lodges and suites with air conditioning and a private bathroom are worth the upgrade for most couples.
  2. Air conditioning matters in a Croatian summer. Guests who stayed in 2023 and 2024 rated it the single most important feature of the room.
  3. If the main pool and buffet are your daytime hub, the Sun Lodge Suites are closest. If you want a quieter base among trees, choose a Forest Lodge, but expect a walk to the main areas.
  4. Week 1 and Week 2 are separate bookings with separate event pages, so book the one that fits your flights rather than assuming a single ticket covers both.
  5. Treat five days as a social holiday, not a single-night party. Sit at shared tables and join a workshop on day one, because a few days in the same place makes it far easier to get to know people.
  6. Bring a proper day bag, sun protection and water shoes. It is an island, with beaches, forest paths and water activities.

Getting there

Guests meet at a mainland port and travel to the island by boat. The organisers keep the exact island location private until you board.

Split (SPU), about a 54-minute drive to Šibenik, or Zadar (ZAD), about a 57-minute drive to Šibenik

  • Fly into Split or Zadar and transfer to Šibenik, the city nearest the island.
  • Plan to arrive in Šibenik the day before your session starts so a delayed flight does not cost you the first boat.
  • Zagreb (ZAG) has the widest flight choice but is around a 3 hour 45 minute drive from Šibenik.
